Did you ever build an event-driven data platform storing 160PB for near infinity directly in Kafka? No? Neither did we, but we sure are doing that now, and we thought this would tickle your brain. Allow us to elaborate ....
We’re building groundbreaking essential intelligent services for B2B financial transactions globally. This is to provide regulators worldwide with tools and insights to avoid another financial crash like 2008. We do this by using Kafka as our data backbone, storing over the next 30 years up to 160 PB of data with infinite retention inside Kafka using multi-tiered storage.
We’ve got a strategic partnership with Confluent, our brokers are fully managed in Confluent Cloud, and we heavily depend on Kafka Streams with custom state stores, which we run on AWS EKS. for our applications we utilize the Spring framework for our back-end and Angular for our front-end. We are firm believers in XP (eXtreme Programming) and Lean, our culture reflects that. We apply TDD, pair, or mob programming and strive for trunk-based development combined with wall-to-wall automation with CI, CD, and CO using GitOps. Also using DataBricks, ElasticSearch and more.
We all work fully remote across the globe. Our team consists of technical experts in their respective fields, with ex-Spring team members, big data thought-leaders, and domain heavyweights, including former trade repository CEOs of two of the four existing US trade repositories.
